After the success of his 10th year anniversary concert last year, Big Band Crooner Richard Poon set a repeat of his classic performance with 21-piece band orchestra at Newport Performing Arts Theater- Resorts World Manila last December 6.
With the 21-piece band orchestra, Richard Poon performed a series of perfect medley of classics tribute for his favorite legends, contemporary pop songs and viral hits with a twist, big band-style. A holiday classics medley also embraced the crowd, making them feel the nearing presence of Christmas.
The Repeat was well-packed with powerhouse guests such as Bossa Nova Queen Sitti, OPM singer-songwriter Ice Seguerra, and Maricar Reyes-Poon that made the majestic night extra special. Seeing the Premiere Crooner celebrated the repeat of his decade and reunited with his fellow OPM singers and real-life friends, awed the crowd. Everyone expected nothing but pure enterntainment and soulful music with RP10 The Repeat concert.
Ice Seguerra sang his OPM hit Pagdating ng Panahon and had an amazing number with Richard Poon warming the entire stage with their emotional rendition of Araw-Gabi. Para sa Akin by Sitti also spiced up the floor and received enormous cheers and applause. On the other hand, everyone felt the love and inspiration for the rare and pleasing to watch performance of the celebrity married couple- Richard Poon and Maricar Reyes-Poon as they soulfully sang "Ikaw at Ako".
In an interview, the Big Band Crooner shared that someone told him that it is very rare for a singer to reach a decade in the music industry maintaining his/her spot but he felt tremendously happy that he celebrated his 10th year aniversary already and now, with an extraordinary Repeat.
